The initiative Liten Up which supports deaf peaple was awarded in the "Insurers for Society 2022" competition. The initiative includes access for all deaf customers of the company to information materials and services and real-time sign language translation.
The initiative Liten Up took a third place award in "Society Insurers 2022" competition. On 05.10.2022, at a solemn ceremony for the Insurers' Day, the awarding ceremony took place. In the contest participated companies with social corporate responsibility projects in the field of insurance.
Allianz Bulgaria initiative is accomplished together with Listen up fondation and is one of the biggest social projects for support of deaf people.
The award in "Insurers for Society 2022" contest was presented to Veselin Angelov, executive director of Allianz Bulgaria by Yuri Kopach, deputy chairman of ABZ.
„I am extremely honored to accept this award. Allianz Bulgaria's corporate social responsibility policy focuses on causes that support vulnerable groups in our society. Our desire is with the initiative Listen up to welcome deaf people and to comunicate with them freely by providing them with access to informational materials and, most importantly, real-time sign language translation. Our main goal is to engage the public to pay attention to the challenges which the deaf community is facing and to attract like-minded people to follow us. Together we can achieve so much more when we are all united by one cause. And this Insurers for Society recognition shows that we have chosen the right path. I can confidently say that the "Listen up" initiative has changed us and the live and way of thinking of many other people, ensuring a better future for everyone," commented Veselin Angelov.
The competition "Insurers for Society" is organized by the Association of Bulgarian Insurers, the Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers, the Association of Insurance Brokers in Bulgaria and United Insurance Brokers. The winners are announced by voting from the insurance companies and insurance brokers - members of the associations.
