About the partnership

Allianz officially began its eight-year worldwide partnership with the Olympic & Paralympic Movements on Jan. 1, building on a collaboration with the Paralympic Movement since 2006.

Since announcing the partnership in September 2018, we have engaged fans, athletes, teams and employees through health across four pilot markets – Australia, China, France and Spain.

Worldwide Insurance Partner

From 2021, Allianz will expand local initiatives to connect with athletes and fans across the world. To name a few, we’ll engage youth with the spirit and values of the Movements at Allianz Sports Camps through trying sports, building friendships and learning from athletes. We also announced the Support Dog Squad on Olympic Day, providing emotional support dogs to help this year’s athletes. Additionally, we introduced “The Pause” ahead of its launch in 2021 – a podcast that will put a spotlight on those supporting athletes mental health. We’re also hiring athletes in countries across the world and running Athlete Buddy Programs in different markets to offer employees the chance to be mentored by an athlete and explore different development topics together.

Allianz will also support the Movements with tailored insurance solutions and services.
